Work has now begun on creating the main exploratory bore holes in Pier Road, Littlehampton by the Environment Agency as part of the Sea Defences works.
As of from 1st October 2012 – Pier Road is a single-carriage road with Automated Traffic Signals controlling traffic flow.
These signal points will move along the road as Furgo, the Environment Agency’s Engineering contractor complete works on one bore hole and move on to the next.
Pier Road is still very much open for business as usual and these works shouldn’t put off anyone from coming. In fact, quite the opposite, plan a trip and see what’s happening.
Single-carriage traffic flow in Pier Road, Littlehampton. Work begins on 1st October 2012 and restrictions should be lifted by 12/13th October 2012.
